GALVAZA operates a modern plant dedicated exclusively to hot-dip galvanizing services and is part of the group of companies held by VigentGroup SGPS, SA.
Hot-dip galvanizing gives steel and iron structures and components exposed to a wide range of corrosive environments excellent protection against corrosion. The coating is continuous, tough, substantially thick and metallurgically bonded to the base material.
This batch anti-corrosion treatment, carried out in accordance with EN ISO 1461, produces zinc coatings on steel or iron articles by immersing them in a bath of molten zinc at approximately 450 °C ± 5 °C. Our facilities can process parts up to 12,400 × 2,200 × 2,800 mm.
Duplex system. In highly corrosive environments, we recommend complementing the galvanized coating with a paint system suited to the conditions. This combined system provides longer-lasting, more cost-effective protection than other anti-corrosion systems and can also meet aesthetic requirements.
