It develops its activity in the area of galvanization by hot immersion and had as objective increase the offer and competitiveness of this activity sector in the Iberian Peninsula, being a response of the owner to the growing demand.

The hot dip galvanizing of steel structures or components, exposed to a variety of corrosive environments gives the steel/ iron products an excellent protection against corrosion, by a continuous coating, metallurgically bonded to the base material (steel or iron), resistant and with a substantial thickness.

This anticorrosive discontinuous treatment, according to the norm EN ISO 1461, is a process through which zinc coatings on steel or iron objects are obtained by immersion in a bath of molten zinc at a temperature of 450ºC ± 5 ºC. In its facilities Galvaza can process pieces up to 12400x2200x2800mm.

Under conditions of high corrosion, it is recommended to complete the protection of galvanized coating with a paint suitable to the environmental conditions. This combined system, duplex system, provides a more durable and economic protection than others anticorrosive protection systems, responding also to aesthetic requirements.
